Hit Reset: How Starting Fresh Unlocks My Best Creations

Hey everyone, LT here!

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to start fresh on every project? Imagine hitting the reset button every time you sit down to create something new.

I’ve been exploring this approach, inspired by some wisdom from Prince, one of my heroes: "Approach every new thing like it’s the first thing you’ve ever done."

It sounds simple. But here’s the twist—doing this means you’re not carrying your past victories or stumbles into the new stuff. It’s like walking into a room with a clean slate every time you’re about to create.

This isn’t just about art. It’s bigger. It’s how you live, run a business, and wake up every day. Starting fresh keeps things exciting and keeps me on my toes.

You might wonder, “How does this work in real life?” It’s about ditching the weight of “been there, done that.” Each time I pick up a brush or start sketching out ideas, I try to forget I’ve ever done anything cool before.

It sounds crazy, but it helps. It keeps me curious and open to whatever comes out without worrying if it matches up to the last hit.

Rap is Born

This whole thing is like being a newbie in the best sense. You know, that energy and drive you have when you’re just starting? That’s the gold I’m chasing in every project now.

But let’s get real – it’s tough. Especially when you’re all over social media, and there’s this constant pressure to top your last post or project. That’s where the real challenge is: staying true to this ‘fresh start’ mindset when the world is watching and waiting to see what you’ll do next.

The goal? To create stuff that means something—not just to me but to the folks who see it, use it, and live with it. It’s not about the applause or the numbers. It’s about making something that sticks, moves people, or makes them think differently.

Documenting My Process? Always!

So, here’s where I’m at. I'm diving into each new project with the excitement of a rookie, the wisdom of my years in the game, and a stubborn belief that the best is yet to come.

What about you? How do you keep things fresh in your work or life? Have you ever tried hitting the ‘reset’ button on your approach?
